The supraspinous ligament is a ligament of intervertebral syndesmosis [ligamentum syndesmosis intervertebralis ] which extends at the tip of vertebral spines [metatarsus ] from the seventh cervical vertebra [inferior ] up to the sacrum [os sacrum ], where rostrally it is continuous with the nuchal ligament [ligamentum nuchae].
